The restoration of the front facade of no 808 as completed was requested by Eleni Makri, in 2000, in her then capacity as the acting manager of the Conservation Area Partnership Scheme in Tottenham High Rd N17 (Haringey Council).  An earlier scheme had included neither the restoration of the cartway nor the expected relationship of the forecourt with the street. Her requested and implemented revision included the installation of frameless glazing to the restored cartway access so that an existing dentist's reception within the passage could be retained and full height cartway doors to provide for safety after hours; also a ramped access from the street to the cartway and a separate enclosure access to the main entrance of the house. Eleni successfully entered the scheme for a Georgian Group Award in 2003 (when working for Halpern).
